Working holiday OZ question

Hi there
My friend wants to visit me in Oz and would love to do the working holiday however she's 32. I know the age limit was 30 when I did it but does anybody know if they are really strict on this? Is it worth trying anyway ie do any slip through the net?
Shes only just in a position to do this after studies and stuff and it seems so ageist if they won't allow it!

Cheers Jayne

Re: Working holiday OZ question

You cant slip through the net.

However, my friend was past the applicable age but a letter to them explaining a special circumstance (he had an accident at work which left him needing hospital treatment over 18 months). They granted him his working holiday visa. So, it is possible, but I am guessing you need certain circumstances to why you didnt take advantage of the visa before.
