Hubby is a gas fitter here. i know things are difficult in Oz for gas fitters/ plumbers.
He will probably need to do some re training. What do you recommend.
He has been a plumber for 20 years. No formal qualifications but very skilled.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Great idea SBUK - hubbie is a plumber also. Hoping to be out there soon (if this bloody house sales)! he has got a provisional queensland plumbing and drainage licence! it would be great if someone could pass on any contacts for him. ps. hoping to move to Bayside area of Brisbane but will travel!!!!

The way things are I have got work now, so I need labour! although its more house building than engineering ie chippy's..sparky's..brickies..decorators..plumbers are in need also A/C fitters etc. thanks for your replies anyroad :D

I am a plumber/heating engineer with over 20 years experience.I have all my advanced plumbing certificates and have just finished a gas course so my cards are all up to date.
I do everything from drains to central heating systems and specialise in bathroom suites.
Any help you can offer would be great, i could have a work permit within 3 months with a sponsor.

I am a qualified carpenter with 20 years experience. I am currently self employed in the UK. I am expecting my visa any day now as we applied in March 06. Will be arriving in Brisbane 21st Jan 07 but could be sooner if you let me know whats on offer.
