Default Railway technician/electrician

Hi, I have finally decided to emigrate to Australia but really don't know where to start.
I am currently working in the uk for Network Rail as a senior signal technician with 8 years experience in faulting and maintenance. I also have experience in installing and testing but am not IRSE licensed.
I would greatly appreciate any help or advice on what sort of job I can expect to get in Australia and the best way to go about it??
