Hi there! Im a PT and i have done my course through YMCA in London. Now Im in NY and wonder if my qualification will be valid here? When i did the course with them(YMCA)they said that yes! Is there anyone out there who have been through this?

Re: Personal Trainer

I'd advise you pay out a couple hundred bucks and get your NSCA-CPT or NSCA CSCS (you need a degree for CSCS but for the CPT I don't believe you do). Most jobs will advertise asking for these and insurance companies will require you to have one in order to insure you.

There are other qualifications through ACSM however I've not had experience with them.
