Cross Qualification - UK to Victoria, Australia

Hi all

I am a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and I am due to move to Victoria, Australia with my (Australian) partner next year. I am hoping to have a partner/de facto visa.

I have researched cross qualifying and have read the information on the Victorian Legal Admissions Board, including the uniform principles. I understand the skills and competency that I must prove but there is a lack of information about the application itself online and I wondered whether anyone has completed the application and can steer me in the right direction?

I have a degree (LLB), a masters (MSc), I have completed the LPC and a training contract. I am 2 years PQE and work in a UK national firm.

I am keen to make sure that the information that I provide as part of my application is as thorough as possible so that my qualifications and training can be properly assessed (and hopefully reduce the amount of modules that I need to study!).

Thanks!

Nicole
