Counselling in Canada

Hi everyone,
Just feeling my way into the site. Can anyone shed any light on careers in Counselling in Canada. My sister in law is a well established Person Centred Counsellor with several other qualifications & is looking to move to Canada.
Does anyone know anything about working in this sector over there? The requirements, evaluating qualifications or anything at all would be much appreciated.
Many Thanks
Dean

I don't think that Canada has the same problems in recruiting in this sector as we do in the UK. However, it might be worth looking at this website for advice, they are mainly based in the UK, but do have offices in Toronto and specialise in Social Care.

Good Luck.

Many Thanks Claire, it seems to be a difficult subject to get any advise on as she has contacted the Canadian Counselling Association but has had very little useful response.
Good Luck in Perth!

If you contact a lady called Sheril Malcolm at www.bbt.co.uk, she's the person who might be able to advise on the most logical route or point your wife in the right direction.

Good Luck.
