Default City & Guild Hair Dressing Equivalent Qualifications

Hi Everyone...My wife is a Hair Dresser with 8 years work experience and planning to appear for a City & Guilds Hair Dresser Practical test in August. We have filed for Skilled 136 BN in Aug 2007.

Q U E S T I O N S:

>Which City & Guild Certification Level to Choose? Diploma or Advanced Hair Dresser Diploma ?
>What is the Australian Equivalent Qualification to qualify as a Hair Dresser in OZ? AFQ>>>Vis a Vis>>>IVQ

> Does the City & Guilds qualification strengthen our Visa Application plus add feather to her existing (non govt.) qualifications?

> Is City & Guilds recognized in Australia? Will it help her in future to land a job in OZ? as I've read somewhere in the forum i.e. City & Guild is not recognized in Oz and one has to repeat the course in Australia. True?

Appreciate some answers

Too Many questions..Confused..Appreciate Assistance.

Hi
My name is Carl and i am awaiting my skilled visa?
City & Guilds are reccognised in Oz but in certain parts you do have to have a trade test?
i have owned two salons for the last 14 years and i am also head of department at a private training acadamy?
you do have a lot of questions, are you in the uk? if so it might be easier if youi phone me and i will b e able to certainly point your wife in the right direction for qualifications
Regards Carl

hello no i dont think you do but it will depend on what part of Oz that you go to, because in some parts you have to apply for a licence to practice as a hairdresser
