UK couple looking at options abroad
Hello :)
I am currently working as an administrator in Manchester and my boyfriend is a Business analyst/Project manager who has previously lived in China for 6 years. We are looking to move abroad on a permanent basis but are unsure which country would be the best for us to live. Could anyone give some suggestions? We are willing to learn a new language if needed and it would be roughly January when we could move. (Anywhere hot is a definite!) Thank you! |

For EU citizens a move within the EU is the easiest way of working aboard. The US is one of the hardest countries to move to and from what you have said I doubt that a move there will be possible. Canada, Australia and NZ are popular...and of course there is always Asia. I suggest you take a look down the following list of BE forums and if anything takes your interest post question in there. We also have information about various counties in the BE Wiki. http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=53 http://britishexpats.com/wiki/Main_Page Good luck. |

It always amazes me that people feel confident about learning a new language just as a little aside to moving. I suppose English can be used fairly widely.

Re: UK couple looking at options abroad
Sorry Sarah, welcome. I was just mulling over your situation.
As Jerseygirl says, the US is probably out, but take a look at the other sections of the site. Would you go back to China? |

Welcome to the forum :)
As Jerseygirl says, take a look around the forum. There is a ton of information on here. Much research to do but that is part of the fun of it. all the best |
Re: UK couple looking at options abroad
I personally would discuss which country you both would enjoy then look to see if you could obtain a visa to allow you work and live in that country.
