Default Is it true? Carpenter work in France?

Hi there 1st post
Im a self employed Carpenter
people keep telling me there is load's of work in France from expats. My work has really thinned out and I would be up for going to France or Italy. Is it true and how would I go about getting some work. I produce good quality work and have a portfolio of work I have done.

Welcome to the Forum, We have an excellent France Section with Le Rendez-Vous for off topic chat although there is the Lounge for a wider off topic audience.

Work in France is pretty slim at the moment and I believe they have recently admitted the country is going into recession, Personally if you came here I would recommend your French is up to scratch and you have a good buffer to survive on. Good Luck and dont hesitate to drop into the France section if you have any more questions as the Welcome Inn is for introductions.

Hi, and welcome to the forum! As suggested by Chatter-Static, come onto the France forum.
You'd have stiff competition from French artisans and even if you find expat customers, you'd still have to follow French building norms and sign off your work legally = set yourself up as an Auto-Entrepreneur. How is your French? Will you have family to provide for? Come onto the France forum, and ask away!
