Default truck driver thinking of moving to canada

Good morning to everyone, i am a 44 year old truck driver with 23 years class 1 experience and i'm thinking of moving to canada, if there is anyone who can help me with imformation on how i should go about this i would be very greatfull. I have looked at agents but it seems very expensive and i don't have a lot of money to do this. What i am after is a name of a company that will give me an offer of employment so i can get the ball rolling, thanks for reading my post, steve

Hi there and welcome to BE.

We have several excellent forms that I think may be of use to you. I'll give you links to the forums to help get you started.
Here is the link to our Trucking Forum...you will see that quite a few of the threads relate to trucker in Canada.

If you click on this link it will direct you to the index page of the main Canada forum. At the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums...the top one being the Immigration Forum. Any questions relating specifically to the immigration process should be posted there. The main forum is for topics relating to Canada and the Maple Leaf is for general chatter. We have a lively group of posters...so you should get many helpful answers to your questions. Please take a few moments to read any sticky threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

The BE Wiki is a great source of information...I recommend you take a read through the Canada section.

If you have any problems finding your way around the many BE forums AmyDavid is the concierge for the Canada forums...she will be act as your BE tour guides to help you find your way around.

For any other questions, problems or concerns please contact a moderator. The mods for the Canada forums are Iaink and Christmasoompa...although any mod or admin will be pleased to help you.

Please shout out if you require assistance with anything...there's usually someone around 24/7 to lend a helping hand.

Hi Stetoppo

I see jerseygirl has given you links to both th Canada forum and the Truckers forum, which are well worth you checking out s thy are full of information. I know there are plenty of fellow truckers who are now expats in Canada so you will be able to get lots of advice from them on the trucking forum.

That just leaves me to say welcome to BE and good luck with your plans
