traveling on expired british passport ?
 
We are planning to go back to England, but my husbands British passport has expired. we will not be coming back after we leave. Can he travel back to England on his expired passport ? any advice will be appreciated

No,you must have 6 months left to run....you can renew while abroad though.

Oh,when OH booked flight to france he was told his passport had to have 6 months left by return flight...perhaps that was just the Airline preference,I stand corrected.

The OP is travelling to the UK...not a foreign country therefore there is no such requirement. Some countries require that you use a PP that has at least 6 months before the expiry date. Although if you have a visa for said country this may not be the case.
