Thinking of relocating not sure southern or northern Ireland

Hi my partner and l are looking to move house but the prices in the mainland UK are so expensive we are struggling to find our forever home.

We know we want rural/semi rural /edge of a village.

We want a big garden for our dogs.reasonable sized house/bungalow with facilities downstairs in a house so if we struggle with stairs then we don't have to worry.

I will have to fly between the mainland UK for my job unless l find work more locally.

Have been looking at different locations that would allow us to be mortgage free but with obviously high travelling costs as l don't really want to be saddled with a mortgage anymore.

I have seen so many places in northern and southern Ireland that meets our house search criteria .
So l am trying to do my research on whether it would suit us and our furkids and any pitfalls to watch out for.
