Default Thinking about moving to Canada

Hi All,

Stumbled onto this website a few months back, and since then have spent many hours reading numerous interesting threads about many different topics! I am currently living in London but after 7 years I'm looking to move to another part of the world to experience something a bit different. I believe Canada would be the best place for me (although haven't decided exactly where) and just wanted to say hello and hopefully make some friends on this site who could pass on some of their tips/experiences.

Hi there and welcome to our cyber community of British Expats.

Canada is certainly a popular country for Brits...easier to get a visa to live and work there than the US and not as far away as Australia.

If you click here it will take you directly to the main index page of the Canada Forum. At the top you will see a list of sub forums...the first one is the Immigration Forum...please post all questions regarding the immigration process there. Many of our regular members who frequent that forum have immigration experience and they will help you through the process. The general forum is for topics related to Canada and the Maple Leaf forum is for general chit chat. Before you begin to post please read through all the sticky threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of the forum's index page. Also take a look in the BE Wiki...you'll find loads of information in there.

If you have any problems finding your way around the many BE forums AmyDavid and The Aviator are concierges for the Canada forums...they will act as your tour guides and guide you around the forums.

For any other problems please contact a moderator. The mods for the Canada forums are Iaink and Christmasoompa...although any mod or admin will be pleased to help you.

Please give me a shout if you need any help.

Jerseygirl has given you some great links for the Canada forum so I hope you pop in and introduce yourself on there and find ou all about all things Canadian.
By the way from the other thread no problem re mentioning the working abroad forum - always one worth checking.
