Default Small introduction to myself

I've been reading the forum for tips and advice so thought its about time I should introduce myself. I'm a 19 year old 4th year apprentice electrician but will be fully qualified with all my certs and NVQ by the end of may. Looking at making the leap and moving to Canada whilst I have no commitments here in the UK. Im sure you see me popping up across the forums ask people some questions

Hi, and welcome to BE.

Are you planning on going over on a Working Holiday Visa/IEC? If so, there are a couple of threads in the Canadian immigration section of the forum which may be useful for you.

Look forward to seeing you in the Canada forums.

Only thing to bear in mind is that if you wait until May, chances are all the WHV's will have gone - there are only 5000 available each year. Another thing to look in to when researching visas is what you'll need to work in Canada as an electrician. Search the main Canada forum for 'red seal' which should bring you up the info you need, but I think you have to prove a certain number of hours in the trade (think from memory it's 7000 for sparkies, but could have that wrong), then sit equivalency exams.

As for trackdays, I've not heard of any, no - and my husband is also a trackday nut! But there may well be some, just not something that I came across.

Good luck.
