Hi,
I'm Cate...
I've recently started doing some research into moving from Yorkshire to Australia, after one of my husband's colleagues planted the seed of possibility into our heads!
So far I have managed to fill a notepad with lots of scribbled information but still feel quite lost!
I'm a civil servant working in employment relations (sounds boring but it's brilliant!), and my hubby is a mental health nurse. We've got two little people, both under 3 years and we have been evaluating the opportunities we could give them.
Any pointers in the right direction for where to start would be great!
Thanks

Hello Cate and welcome to the forum
Yes it's funny how the seed of moving gets planted, isn't it. Well, you've come to the right place. The Australia section is very lively and there are plenty of folks to point you in the right direction. New adventure ....happy planning

Hello
Hopefully you've got stuck into the Australia section by now and are finding it useful. My husband is a mental health nurse too, and although we live in NZ, we have lived in NSW where he worked. We may (or may not) return to Oz one day. MH nursing is very different in Oz to the UK (more containment, etc) so it is worth exploring that aspect carefully. Be picky about where you work, too, as that will make a huge difference.
Good luck - how exciting; I love Australia
