Hello and welcome the BE and the Garden State.
Do you have healthcare insurance? If so go to their website and you should be able to view a list of doctors in their network. You will probably find if you use a doctor out of network it will cost you a lot more.
I use Medical Institute of NJ...it's located at the other side of Morristown.
You will get a better response to your question if you repost in the US Forums.
If you require any assistance finding your way around BE's many forums we have a team of concierges who will act as your tour guide...they will be pleased to help you. The concierge for the US forums is Kaffy Mintcake...please contact her if you need pointing in the right direction.
If you have any problems or concerns please contact a mod or admin. The mods for the US forums are Bob and MsElui. Although you can contact any mod or admin...there is usually one of us around 24/7.
Please give me a shout if I can be of further help. I look forward to seeing you in the US forums.

Hi
Thanks for reply.
We have medical insurance through my husdands company but need a local doctor as my husband has problems with his blood pressure and I have thyroid problems!

Make sure you know what sort of healthcare plan you have. You can look on their website or there is usually a helpline number of your healthcare card. Seeing a doctor out of network can be very expensive. We have heard horror stories of members going to the ER for treatment...a few weeks later they've received a huge bill because they'd received treatment from an out of network doctor. Have to say in 15 years I've never had that problem. Unlike the UK doctors (where everthing is done through your GP)...here doctors tend not to share information...it's your responsibility to keep your MD and specialists informed.
This may be of use to you.
Most specialists have their offices on Madison Ave in M/town...right opposite M/town hospital. A similar area is in Summit but M/town is more convenient to me.
Edit: One more thing...don't get stressed out if the doctor sends you for every test know to man...that seems to be routine procedure.

Welcome Monvalle. I always ask neighbors, coworkers, etc. who they use for a doctor to see if there's someone they like in my network. I found my dentist that way and have been very happy with her.
Welcome to NJ and to BE!
