Puzzled and lost
 

Hi anyone/everyone. We are thinking of moving to western australia at the end of next year for 12months. This hopefully should give us time to consider if this is the place for us. We have 4 children. So i guess being new to the BE site im wondering could any body help with advice of any kind?
1. Could we go on my partners profession which is a theatre nurse but she only works part time or would she have to go back to full time hours to apply.
2. What would be the best visa to apply for
3. How would we go about this.
We appreciate any help you can give. We have been to perth and spent 6 weeks there from feb-april 2011 so we are certain of the state but uncertain of the best location around this area.
I have thought about the expos that are aroun but have heard that these are a waste of time. Thanks again, Steve:)

If you're puzzled and lost you've certainly come to the right place for help and advice. :thumbsup: I recommend you repost in the Australia Immigration Forum. There may also be relevant information in the BE Wiki. Please read through the stickied threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

We have a great bunch of people who post in our Australia Forums...they will give you tips and advice on life Down Under. The link I have given you will take you to the main index page of the Australia Forum...at the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums. The top forum is the Immigration Forum...the Main forum is for topics relating to Australia and The Barbie is for general chit chat.

Kelli28, Sherlock Holmes and newjersey are the concierges for the Australia forums...so if you have any problems finding your way around our many forums they will be pleased to help you.

For all other concerns or problems please contact a moderator or admin. Every BE forum has at least one moderator dedicated to that forum...Australia has 4...Cresta57, Monneypenny20,, Sonlymewalter and Alfresco.

I see Jerseygirl has given you the link to the Australia forum, which is definitely the place to go for information, tips and advice from those expats who already live there.

Hi southwalian, yep, the general view is that the expos are a waste of time.

Have a look in the Australia immigration forum here and you should learn a bit and also have a look at http://www.immi.gov.au/ and look at the find a visa link on the left in blue.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Hey everybody. Thanks for all the reply's. I'm not that clever on the computer but i eventually get there:confused: I will slowly get to grips with it so if i don't individually thank you forgive me. There is so much info to be had it's mind bogling but thanks to BE.com i will slowly become more familliar with everything. Thanks again everybody and i will keep surfing thru the forum for info untill i get stuck..Southwalian:)

Many of us were complete novices to online forums when we first joined BE...so don't fret. Remember there are always folk about who will be more than willing to help you out if you need help with anything.
