Smile Newbie in Spain

Hello All,
Originally from the midlands but have worked in London for about 15 years and looking for a better (warmer) work-life balance.

I have been planning to move to Spain for several years so finally coming for a 6 month trial.... Aiming to explore Valencia, Alicante and Murcia Regions. Ideally i'd like to buy a small property with some land in a peaceful town/village... Unsure about working in Spanish healthcare or private/nursing homes?...something I will look into.

Really looking forward to meeting other expats and learning about your experiences.. Please feel free to ask me any questions...

Ohh most importantly... I arrive in 3 weeks..Yay!!!

Welcome to BE

We ask all new members to have a quick read of the site rules https://britishexpats.com/site-rules/ and should you have any site related problems please contact one of our moderators, names in bold at the bottom of each forum page.

You would be better off asking your specific questions in the Spain forum https://britishexpats.com/forum/spain-75/ please do a lot of research first especially as the Spanish system is so different to the UK one in many areas and please be aware that Brexit is likely to throw up more difficulties depending on how the UK leaves the EU.

valencia is an autonomous region and is not part of Catalonia. Catalan may be spoken as well as Madrileno, but Englihs French and German are also spoken there !
