Hi All

Thought I would take the chance to properly introduce myself. I have posted a couple of times on this forum but it seems impolite to continue without telling you a little bit about myself.

After receiving a job offer at the end of July, I finally relocated to the US with my husband and two children last Monday, November 17. We have found a lovely house in Westchester and the children (aged 9 and 5) are all set to start at the local elementary school tomorrow.

I will be starting work in Manhattan next Monday, December 1. I am on an H1B visa so my husband is going to be staying at home as his H4 won't allow him to work. It's quite a change for us; I previously worked part-time (not that it always felt that way) and did most of the household chores, shopping etc and my husband was full time.

I'm under no illusions that life will suddenly become perfect but I'm hoping this change will be good for our family.

There's still so much we need to do, including a NY driving test , but I am looking forward to settling in and contributing to and learning from this forum.
