And you're suggesting JG isn't?!

In which case, look at Working Holiday Visas. If you do fancy Canada, that would be an option (although you'd have to forget working as a firefighter whilst there, as it's impossible to break into from what I understand), it would give you a year's open work permit and you can also get a 2nd year.

So look at that for an easy visa route for spending 2 years abroad, I believe NZ and Australia have similar schemes (probably other countries too but I'm really not sure).

As Christmasoompa suggests...do take a look at Canada. Although we moved to the US 17 years ago...my daughter decided to go to uni in Toronto. She like it so much she decided to stay there.

Working holiday visas are a great way to experience living in another country for a couple of years.

only problem is couple years outside my job and its very hard to get back to another firefighting job without start from the very beginning, but i will look it to it. Many thanks
