Good afternoon All,
My wife and I live in Lancashire and we are semi retired. We are considering living in Turkey full time as from middle 2023.
Hopefully I can still sork as the international company I work for allows 100% remote working and from anywhere in the world providing there is good internet signal.
We have spend quite a bit of time in Turkey in both Istanbul and Antalya but TBH, I haven't got a clue how to go about moving full time.
I am aware we can go for 90 days in 180 for tourist purposes and would like to use this time to tour around areas we would like to consider living.
Ideally not too close to the sea but a 5km/10km cycle ride is fine as we prefer the quiet village life in the lower section of the hills.
Any advice / locations very much appreciated!!

Hi Skater, welcome to BE
We have a Turkey subforum here https://britishexpats.com/forum/turkey-178/ although it's one of our quieter ones, not too many of our members live in Turkey. If you post there hopefully someone will be along.
Good luck with your plans!

There's a dedicated Turkey forum (at the bottom of the Europe forum) that you can ask on, but it's been quiet for some time.
Meanwhile, check on the Visa/work permit front. And even if you're working for an international company, the quaint expression "bum's law" which exists in the EU (where you're sitting working, you pay your income tax/social security contributions), might be valid in Turkey, too. I.e. check with your company that there's a Treaty with Turkey concerning health insurance for you both.
Sorry I can't advise more, except to say start learning Turkish, as I imagine not all that many people in "quiet villages" are likely to speak English....
All the best!
