Hi, were a young family of 5 and very keen to move to Au. My husband is an electrician and hoping this will start us in good stead.

I have read lots of great info on this site but its all VERY confusing from a newbie viewier ;)

It seems very complicated and don't know even know where to begin.

Would love to meet some very helpful people who will show us the way and show it can happen :thumbsup:

First you will need to find out if can qualify for a visa, so have a look here.

Then visit the Oz Immi forum for further advice.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Welcome to BE.
Your hubby may wish to have a look at our 'working abroad by profession' section where there is a forum dedicated to electricians, and he can chat with other expats in his profession who are working in Australia.
