New to BE
Hi Fellow British Expats
This is my first post on BE and so I'm filled with trepidation! I retired to Sweden in 2009, sharing a house with my Swedish wife. Things have been tough, and I found this site by accident one day. I was at once impressed with the range of experiences, and look forward to joining in with some of the discussions - perhaps even posting a 'thread' or two. So for now Take care! Simon |

Simon I noticed the magic words retired to Sweden; what part of the country are you in? I'm between Stockholm and Uppsala by the way. There don't seem to be many of us in Sweden (at least on this site) Regards:) |
Re: New to BE
Well Well...! A reply already!
I'm living in Hudiksvall - a little way further north than where you are. Very nice in the summer |
Re: New to BE
Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading. Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font. Please contact me if I can give you any further help. Rosemary |

Simon Hi Simon and welcome to BE. Unfortunately we do not have a dedicated forum for Sweden. Our members living in Scandinavia usually hang out in the General Europe forum. Why don't you pop over there and take a look around? We have a team of concierges who will help you find your way around the forums if you get a little lost. You can find a list of their names at the bottom right hand side of this page. Complaints or problems should be addressed to a moderator...Mitzyboy is the mod for the Europe forums but if he's not around any mod or admin will be pleased to help you. Please give me a shout if you need any help. |

Hi Again folks
and thanks for the replies and information. I've read some posts and threads already on the 'Europe' forum, and will keep an eye open there. Best wishes |

I just wanted to let you know that we've recently added a Scandinavia forum and we have a growing group of members who are in Sweden, or moving there. So if you haven't checked it out yet you can find the forum here: http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=174 |
