Default Hello ALL!! Planning a move to Melbourne

Hi there, I have been checking the forum for a short while, now am further along with my visa, thought I would sign up and say Hi.
I am just waiting for final decision on a permanent visa for myself, wife and 3yr old girl. We are both nurses, my wife works in occ health and I work in Emergency Dept.
All medicals done and everything else met for visa so just the decision. Hence my putting in the overtime on research on the hope that all is positive!!
We plan to move to Melbourne within the next 6-12 months all being well.
cheers

Hi Stottster

Welcome to BE

I see you have found our Australia forum where you can chat with expats already living and working there - and there are plenty around the Melbourne area, who I am sure will be only too happy to share good advice and information with you to help the move go well.
That just leaves me to wish you and your family all the very best with your plans.

Hi Stottster

Congratulations on obtaining your visa.

I would recommend you check out a forum we have on here dedicated to those in the nursing profession, where you can chat with others who are in the nursing field in Oz - they may even be able to point you in the right direction to help you find a job.
You will find it by going to the main forum index page, scroll down past all the listed countries to the next section entitled 'Working abroad by profession', double click on the word nursing below that and you're in.

All the best
