Hi Lively lady

Welcome to BE.

I would recommend you to check out our Middle East forum, which is dedicated to those expats living and working in all areas of the Middle East, including some folks in Riyadh.
You will find this by clicking on the 'forum index' tab on the pink bar at the top of this page. Scroll down the list of countries until you se Middle East, double click on that and you're in.
It's a lively and friendly forum and there are plenty of good folks to chat with about life in Riyadh, who will have a wealth of information to help you find your feet. It's also a great place to make new friends in your new neighbourhood. The Sandpit is the social thread on there, so pop accross and introduce yourself. Blue Cat is the concierge for the forum there - she has a great sense of humour.

Apart from that I wish you all the very best with your move and good luck in yur new home and job. Don;t forget your suntan lotion - the weather is much nicer there than the UK right now thats for sure

Dread - x

Hi there and welcome aboard. Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself.

We have a lively bunch of people who post in our Middle East Forums. The main forum is for topics relating to the Middle East...the Sand Pit is for general chit chat. There is also an Introduction Thread in the Sand Pit...why don't you pop over there and introduce yourself?

If you find yourself a little lost navigating the many BE forums...we have a team of concierges who will direct you around the website. The concierge for the Middle East forums is Blue Cat...please contact her if you need any help.

If you have any problems or concerns please contact a moderator. The mods for the ME forums are Bob, NorthernLad and rowell.

Please shout out if you need any help...there's usually someone around 24/7 to help out.

Hello, LivelyLady,

My, a fortnight is little time —I wish you well in Saudi— sounds exciting! I see the others have you pointed in the pertinent forums with useful links and helpful information. So I'll simply bid you welcome and greetings from Ontario, Canada!

With every good wish,
Christian

Crikey, that sounds like a brave job move. All the best with that. They're a good bunch in the Middle East forum and quite bolshy at times, so don't take any stick from them

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
