Default Moving to Paris

Hello!

I am heading to Paris in March this year for an initial two month period. I would love to call it home and have been working at securing a job over there.

I'm not a fluent French speaker. I would say I was at an intermediate level. However, hope that after immersing myself this will vastly improve.

I know jobs are sparse and difficult to find, especially for those (like me), who do not speak perfect French.

I would appreciate any suggestions or guidance anyone could offer.

Merci!

Pamela

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! Come over to the France forum and ask again.
But you have said it all in one sentence.
Also, if you've never lived in Paris before, you'll have a shock. It may be one of the most beautiful in Europe, and dreamlike for a holiday, but it's also one of the most dismal, with poverty and crime everywhere, not to mention rude Parisians, if you happen to live there....
It won't do any harm to come over for 2 months to see for yourself!

Thank you. I'm new to this forum, and forums in general. Have re-posted in the France section.

Paris has its faults, as any city, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. It ticks so many of my boxes: good food, culture, history and fashion. It will also help improve my French. Counting down the days until March 17th!
