Default Moving to the Gold Coast/Sunshine Coast April 2014

Hi everyone, we are now making plans to move to the east coast to join my husband who has been out in Oz since April working. I'm sure everybody who makes the move has the same feelings of excitement/guilt/uncertainty, but this is happening & I need to prepare myself as best I can.

Unlike most expats, this has never been our dream, its an opportunity that has come about due to my husbands job & therefor I've never really looked into it until the last couple of months. We have two small children aged 3 & 1, already have 457 visas in place & are being given a superb relocation package. I'm just looking for any info that you guys might think will come in useful to us!

thank you in advance

Hello and welcome to B.E.

Sounds like you have everything all setup, it should be a wonderful experience for you all.

If you have not done so already, you can find the Australian branch here

Hi Plyall and welcome to the forum. What a fantastic opportunity. You must be very excited.

I see you've found the Aus section OK. They will look after you . Have fun.

Thank you both so much for the replies, yes I managed to navigate my way over to the Aus section, super excited, just think I have too much time to dwell on the few negatives (leaving behind our family & friends)!
