Smile Moving to Australia

Hi All

My name's Mark. I'm living in Hampshire UK with my Australian wife and 2 boys (8 and 12).

When your other half is another nationality it can make settling down a problem. So we decided to stay in the UK until the time was right and then move to Australia. I think we actually missed the right time, around 2000 would have been good, but anyway decided to move now - just when the GBP is going down the tubes Good planning eh!

My kids already are Australian citizens and have Australian passports. It's just me who has to get sorted out.

I've started the ball rolling as far as my partner visa goes. My Police check has been sent off. My medical is next week. I'm waiting for my brother-in-law (in Australia) to finish his declaration then I can send off my application.

The amount of information you have to provide is bewildering. I'm struggling through. I might have a question or two in time Either way I'll post my progress...
