Default Mid life nomad reborn

I always loved travelling: took my first (unaccompanied) overseas flight aged 10; lots of European driving holidays with family in teens; hitched round UK and Europe; India for 7 months aged 18... then I got tied down. University, marriage, professional, second marriage.... then the stroke halfway through the breakdown of my second marriage.
Oddly, that has been a bonus: bankruptcy wiped my debts while preserving my very good pension, and while a considerable residual disability means I haven't tried skiing again and I probably couldn't balance a cycle, I have been to New Zealand, Phillippines and Portugal, and am back in travelling mode again.
Brexit has hastened my move to Portugal as a base but I see myself travelling more than remaining in one place.
Look forward to contributing and learning.
Andy

Good morning, Andy

Welcome to BE and thanks for that lovely informative introduction to yourself. So glad you've been reborn and that you are traveling the world again in search of wonder, knowledge and beauty. I see that you have found the Portugal forum already. If you can contribute, great. If our members can offer support and guidance, do hope you will take advantage of their first hand experiences.

Our only request of you is a brief read of our forum rules which can be found on the link above under the BritishExpats.com banner head.

Enjoy the rest of your life.

Rita
