hi there. this is all very new to me but I would like to say hello to you all and thank you for this site. We moved to Ireland nearly a year and a half ago and are seriously looking at returning to the UK due to family let downs and loneliness amongst other things. hope you don't mind me saying hello?

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

We've got quite a few people who, like yourself, are looking at returning to the UK. So be sure to pop over to our Moving back to the UK forum. Everyone is great at sharing experiences and info so I am sure you will pick up a few tips and make a few friends along the way.

Have you given yourself as time when you will make a fianl decision? sometimes that helps with the should we should'nt we part of a move.....moving to a near area let alone a new country can be very daunting and you have tried it so give yourself that pat on the back for doing so. Have you thought of moving to a different part of Ireland? is it the area or famly that has caused you to be unhappy? would it help to be a bit further away from situations that families can sometimes cause....just a thought....loneliness can be awful....have you tried going in certain classes in the area or clubs?....I know its not easy for some I have found it hard to make new friends as we returned to a new area but slowly I am getting there, good friends take time to make.
