From Leicester to Canada(hopefully).....
Hi all after a lot of lurking ive decided to join BE .
My names leah, im 27 from sunny Leicester. Im a qualified nurse but currently im undertaking training to become a midwife(9 months to go) and im really wanting to go to Canada.
Don’t think ill be able to go Ontario, my nursing qualification is a diploma, but my midwifery qualification would be degree and I believe they are very much in demand in Ontario right now? Plus im open to trying other provinces.
Im just at the basic really with looking for what visa would be more appropriate and trying to figure out if its worth getting the ball rolling now or wait until I finish my studies.
But wanted to wish everyone luck in where ever they move to and all the paper work that goes with it:-)

Hi Leah
First of all welcome to BE - glad you decided to come aboard.
Check out our Canada and Canada Immigration forums on here, which you can find by clicking the 'forum index' tab at the top left of this page. Scroll down, double click Canada and it will take you into the forum.
You can chat with plenty of expats already living and working in Canada.
We also have a nursing forum where you can chat with other nurses who have made the move there. You will find this by clicking the forum index tab. Scroll down through the listed countries to the next section called 'working abroad by profession' and you will see it under there.
Finally good luck with your midwifery degree and your eventual move.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
