Introduction
 

Howdy Folks,

My name is Danny, I am a 37 year old married man with a one year old boy.

I'm looking at moving over to Cyprus as I have recently become a father and want to raise my son in a slower paced environment so I may get more involved with raising him with my wife. I am currently working as an electrician over here in blighty but, would be quite happy transferring my skills into another profession to make the move work for guaranteed employment. I'd like to get to know others that have been in similar circumstances and have already been through their process and settled in Cyprus, to get a better perspective. With that said, if anyone can relate please, get in contact.
In the meantime I'll start being nosey and digging up what I can find here.

Hi, and welcome to the forum!
Post again in the dedicated Cyprus forum, as this is a world-wide introduction forum. Mention whether you have an Irish or EU Passport - if not, then you're going to have to apply for a working Visa, which won't be straightforward if you haven't got a salaried job lined up or a business plan if you want to work for yourself. Some one on the Cyprus forum will be able to advise, but presumably the Rules are the same all over the EU....
