Hoping to move to San Francisco!!
Hi everyone, we currently based in the UK and I have an internal transfer within my company and a L-1 visa however I want to move out with my partner. I wondered what the job prospects are going to be like for him. Would appreciate to hear from anyone who has been able to move out there!

Unless your partner is your husband he cannot move to the US with you unless he qualifies for his own visa. Here is a list of the ways to obtain a US visa. All immigration questions should be posted in the US Immigration Forum...the regulars who post in that forum will do their best to help you.

You say "partner"...if you're not married, probably very slim.
If you're married and he can get L2 and then the EAD, just as much chance as anyone else in a depressed market. All about what he's looking to do and networking

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Hi Sarah
First of all welcome to BE from me too.
I see you have already found our USA forum and have posted some questions, so I hope the information you seek is forthcoming and of help.
That just leaves me to wish you and your family all the very best with your plans.
I don't know if your OH's occupation is in there but we have a 'wroking abroad by profession' section where there are forums for specific vocations - if OH's is in there you may find that useful for netwroking and checking out the job market. You will find it on the main forum index page in the next section below the list of countires.
All the best
