Hoping I'm needed! Pondering a move abroad.
Hi there,
I frequent a number of forums (mostly to do with classic cars and cycling!) and I consider it good manners to always say a 'hello' on in the newbies section before wandering around looking for information!
I am here pondering the possibility of employment (and therefore living) abroad. I reside currently in the North of England and work at the moment in specialist care - I am the manager of a number of support services for people with autism and sometimes, but not always, a learning disability.
Anyway, I'll leave the intricate (boring?!) details until later in my voyage, but from my scan-over the site it looks like this could be a valuable place for me to garner some idea of whether my particular skill set is needed anywhere else than glorious West Yorkshire!!
Thank you to everyone who appears to make this such a vibrant and well trodden venue!
Warm regards,
Stephen Kelly

Hi Stephen
Welcome to BE
We have forums for a number of countries world wide so feel free to pop into any of them and ask any questions you have.
We also have forums for professions such as nursing etc, which you are also free to pop in to and chat, as well as some casual forums such as the Lounge and 'Take it outside' (if you are brave or twisted enough to go in there lol )
So have a look around and see which ones give you what you are looking for and good luck - here's hoping you find your paradise

That's kind, thank you all.
Sadly I was called in to work emergency style last night so couldn't take much time out to have a look through, will do at the weekend - and I'll be sure to find myself a Christmasy avatar to help me fit-in!

I have one quick question if any of you could help? Just an etiquette thing really... If I am looking to gather info from folk in different areas of the forum am I ok to post a similar thread in different 'regions'? For example, I'm keen to garner some information on support provisions, is it ok to double that thread up in Far East and the Middle East sections?
Don't want to get myself in any bad-books!!!
Thanks
