Homesick
 

Hi

I emigrated to Canada in June last year and started to feel really homesick after the first week, I just can't settle and long to move back to the UK. My problem is that my husband and 2 sons who are 20 and 15 really love it here and don't want to go back, but I just know that Canada isn't for me. People keep telling me that I should give it at least 2 years before I make the decision to go home, but I know that time will make absolutely no difference to the way I feel because I miss my life in the UK too much. At the moment I'm stuck here because we brought our dog over with us and we have to wait 6 months before we can take her back without her having to go into quarantine, she had her blood test in December. Just wanted to know if anyone else has come to Canada and not been able to settle.
