Hi from Tom, East Sussex, UK.

hey there. i just signed up.

Well my name is Tom, im 26 and im looking to see more of the world.

I work as a maintenance engineer in the food industry, i love my job and it would be great to work and see more of the world at the same time. i have stumbled across this site and hopefully there is a bunch of people on here to point me in the right direction.

I have always dreamed of working in Australia or New Zealand but i have never known were to start. so really i have lots of questions about visas, employment, and finding a job on the other side of the world. :)

nothing is easy in this world and i expect finding work/employment down under isnt going to be easy, but if i follow my dreams, i might just get there. (with a little help :o )

tom :)

Hey Tom...welcome to BE.

We have two excellent forms that cover Australia and New Zealand. The people who post in those forums will do their very best to answer any questions you may have. I see you have already posted in the BE Jobs Forum...so that's a great start.

Here is the link to our Australia Forums. The link I have given you will take you to the main index page of the Australia Forum...at the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums. The top forum is the Immigration Forum...the Main forum is for topics relating to Australia and The Barbie is for general chit chat. This link will take you to our New Zealand Forums.

Also take a look in the BE Wiki...you'll find loads of useful info in there.

Before you begin posting please take time to read through the Site Rules and any stickied threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

Kelli28 is the concierge for the Australia forums...so if you have any problems finding your way around our many forums please contact her. The concierges for the NZ forums are MnB and

For all other concerns or problems please contact a moderator or admin. Every BE forum has at least one moderator dedicated to that forum...Australia has 4...Cresta57, Monneypenny20,, Sonlymewalter and
Alistairboyle. The mods for the NZ forums are Bevs and Am Loolah.

I hope you enjoy your time with us and don't forget to shout out should you require any help.

Hey...it really does help if you've done a little research of your own before you ask questions and the BE Wiki is a great place to start. ;)

Good luck and don't forget there is usually someone around to help out if needed.
