Hi there!
Just to go over very very old ground. Of the very few places where our pensions are not frozen, is there one where one can survive on a basic state pension?

Assume you mean the UK state pension? Philippines possibly. You can check and ask in the Philippines section of the forum. Quite a good retirement visa there I understand.
Where i am, Malaysia, yep we get the state pension frozen, like so many other countries.
