Hi all

Through my love of adventuring in the Scottish mountains I met the love of my life.....awww...... a couple of years, and various trips across the atlantic and now we're married and I'm making the big move over to the USA around November.

My Visa case has just completed at the NVC and I hope to get an interview at the US Embassy in London by October.

Look forward to talking with you all, get tips, etc on life outside the UK. I'll miss the place.......but not that much!

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Thanks all for the welcome and info - I've had a quick scan through most of the boards that are most relevant to me and like what I see Will check out the sticky threads and wiki soon.

I'll be moving to West Virginia- just inside the pan handle next to Maryland. My wife is from the MD/DC area which is where I'll most likely be looking to find work when I get there.

Good stuff. I'll definitely have lots of questions come up, some serious, some not so....not least, where to find a good poker game to relieve the Americans of some cash, hopefully
