Why don't you tell us a little about yourself.

Before you can move to the US you will need a visa...do you have one?

Hello and welcome agababryn,

Yes, as Jerseygirl suggested, do tell us a little more about yourself. Where you're from, what you do or have studied, and what part of the USA you think you might like to go to.

That should make it a little easier for relevant suggestions and to get you pointed into the right forums where people have germane experience.

Hope to see you again soon,
Best, Christian :)

Hi Agababryn

Welcome to BE.
I reckon you will get more idea about different parts of the states on our USA forum, which you will find on the main forum index page.

Good luck in deciding which of the 51 you like

Welcome to BE and good luck!

Seen plenty of strong man competitions, but don't think I've ever seen someone try moving a city before :D

Lots of ideas.
Los Angeles to the west, so it is out to sea.
Seattle further south so it is warmer, (just in the winter, back again in the summer)
Chicago north, so it is no longer in the USA
New York east, so it can provide a half way stop over for trips back to blighty.

edit: Oh I see Bob got to this first

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

OK thank you...in that case your first step to moving to the US is a US visa. The forum to ask immigration questions in is the US Immigration and Visas forum...please post your immigration questions in there. Before you post please read through this to see if there are any avenues open to you. Also please read through any stickied threads that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

If you require any assistance finding your way around BE's many forums we have a team of concierges who will act as your tour guide...they will be pleased to help you. The concierge for the US forums is Kaffy Mintcake...please contact her if you need pointing in the right direction.

Any problems or concerns should be addressed to a mod or admin. The mods for the US Immigration forums are Noorah101, Bob and MsElui.

Please give me a shout if I can be of further help.

I'd pick Intercourse because it has a funny name. Just picture the look on your mum's face every time she sends you a Christmas card.
