Hi! Dallas, Tx, US --> Ispica, pov.di Ragusa, Italia
Stumbled onto this nice forum while researching how certain US appliances do in Europe, with frequency difference (since a transformer easily fixes the voltage difference problem).
I'm in the process of moving from the U.S. to the South of Sicily.
Everybody in the area - I'd be interested in meeting you, everybody else - I'd like to get to know you as well.

Thanks! I don't recall where, but I've seen references that there are tons of information on moving appliances/tools/etc and discussions on difference in voltage and frequency. Well, I'm not worried about voltage (have a 4 KW transformer) - but I'd like to read some more about 60hz-->50hz issues. Could you point me towards the right direction please?

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
