Hi from Connecticut!
Hello there... New member ... Ive been reading here a while now, but only just got around to joining today.
I moved here (Connecticut) from the UK back in 1995 (to be with my USC wife). I wish we had found a resource like this back then.

Welcome to BE - glad you have come in and joined us.
I see you have already found our USA forum, which is a great place to chat with other expats living and working all over the USA, some in your neighbourhood - it's also a great way of making new friends which is always a bonus.
Also with your experience of living in the States you will be in a position to offer lots of useful advice and information to help new folks heading over to live and work there, which I am sure will be much appreciated.

Thanks for the welcome.
I am sure the actual procedure for moving (Visa etc) has probably changed since we went through it, but I am happy to talk about my experiences since coming here if it will help anyone.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
