Help with understanding the visa renewal process for spouse visa.

Help with understanding the visa renewal process for spouse visa.
Is anyone able to help me with the following?
(1) My wife’s 30-month spouse visa to the UK is up for renewal on 15th January 2019.
(2) Her BRP expires on 30th March 2019 (more than 3 months later).
(3) Which of the above 2 dates does she use as her current visa end date?
(4) It is my understanding that she can submit her extension application up to 28 days before her current visa expiry date.
(5) What I want to know is this. Between what ‘2 dates’ can she submit her application?
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance.
