Hey everyone, I’m from the uk and me and my partner are looking to move to New Zealand in March April time 2021, he’s been offered a job already who are paying for our flights out there. I just wondered if anyone who has moved from the UK to New Zealand could help me with a question.

We both have phone contracts with O2 and EE, Does anyone know if we would have to cancel and pay off the contracts or if we can continue to use them until they run out while in New Zealand.

My advice is get the visa and then worry about your mobile phones.

When I moved phones came in big red boxes at the end of the street.

I had far more important questions with the internet far away in future years

I still survived

The value of a phone contract is chump-change compared to the cost of emigrating to another continent. If you're seriously considering trying to use a British contract phone when you move to NZ for cost reasons, then you might want to think very carefully whether you can afford to emigrate.
