Default Hello to you all

Hi

Registered today with the sight as have found quite useful info in the past.

Now looking for some sound advice on a possible move to Bangkok. Hubby has a job offer which could start in a few weeks and myself (wife) and 8 year old are looking at the in's and out to joining him later in the year.

Any info/advice /support would be great.

Thank you.

Hi muppit

Welcome to the site. We have a dedicated section for those moving to or living in Thailand. You should be able to ask for more detail there on anything you need to know.

I lived in Bangkok myself for a year and found it an amazing place to live; very busy, exotic, colourful, challenging, sometimes frustrating but always exciting.

Since you have a child you're first priority is probably to look into availability of places at International schools and then find some accommodation nearby since traffic is a big issue.

Do check in with the Thailand forum and all the best with your move!

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
