Hello There moved to Slovenia
Been living in Slovenia with my girlfriend (slovene national) for over a year now, work situation for me is difficult but still enjoying the daily challenges.
It's good to finally find an active forum for british expats, hopefully the mods can make a Slovenia sub board.

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

I see you have found our Europe forum and hopefully you have found some other expats in or near Slovenia.
I have never been there but I have heard the scenery is stunning, so it's on my list of places to visit.

I'm not in Slovenia but quite near the border in Zala county, Hungary. Do you find people can speak English there? It must help having a partner who can interpret but I don't suppose she's always available when needed!
