Hello & thanks - Moving to Boston
I've been lurking around for a couple of months and now our move to Boston is going ahead I thought I should be polite and say a proper hello.
I'm a Physics teacher and my wife has accepted a new role with her company on the global marketing team. We have a two year old daughter who is already excited about going on an 'airplane to Bostons'.
I have searched out and read a lot of threads that have helped with a lot of our initial relocation questions and concerns. Thanks to the mods and contributors who have already made this a very useful site or us.

Welcome to BE and Boston!
You were moving some time around April did I read elsewhere? Good time for it, best time of year around here before it gets to hot and after the winters worst.

Hello and welcome to BE.
Good plan moving to Boston in April...winters can be pretty brutal up there.
We have quite a few members living in the Boston area...I'm sure they will be pleased to answer any questions you may have about the area. I see you have already starting to post in the US Forum. If you have any questions about the immigration process please post them in the US Immigration and Visas forum. General questions about life in the US should be posted in the US Forum. The Trailer Park is for general chit chat.
Please take time to take a look in the BE Wiki...it's a great source for information.
If you require any assistance finding your way around BE's many forums we have a team of concierges who will act as your tour guide...they will be pleased to help you. The concierge for the US forums is Kaffy Mintcake...please contact her if you need pointing in the right direction.
Any problems or concerns should be addressed to a mod or admin. The mods for the US Immigration forums are Rete, Meauxna, Noorah101, Bob and MsElui.
Please give me a shout if I can be of further help. I look forward to seeing you in the US forums.

Re: Hello and thanks
Hello Phil and welcome to BE! Boston is a charming town with far more history than most of the US. A girlfriend of mine was transferred there for work for a couple of years, she and her husband both cried when they were transferred away, they absolutely loved it (and had little kids at the time!). Best of luck with your future planning and if I can help you find your way around the site at all, please don't hesitate to ask.

Glad you have come out of lurker mode and started posting. I see you are finding your way around ok, but if you do get stuck on anything please don't hesitate to let myself, the moderators, or the Concierges know and we will do all we can to help.
