Smile Hello!!!!!!! Relocating to the USA

Hi all,

My name is Tracy and I am from Sandbach, Cheshire (junction 17 of m6 for those of you who know/remember it well!!).

This is our second attempt at relocating to the USA, last year things didnt quite go to plan :-/ This time I have been brave enough to register on here!

My husband will be working from home when we move but we need to be close to a major airport. I dont think I will be able to continue in my role (special needs teacher) so we have been looking for somewhere affordable to live based on his income and have come up with Bethel, CT.

We have 2 kids aged 8 and 6 and like everyone else their education is our priority.

I also have a mum who is intent on putting me on a guilt trip for going and taking her grandchildren with us, lol!!!

We are planning on relocating for 2 yrs and then heading back home.

Hope i've covered the basics there, I look forward to speaking to you all soon x

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Hello and welcome to BE.

Oh yes I know it well. In fact many, many moons ago my hubby worked at Fodens. I lived in the Chester area before moving to the US.

Why don't you join us over in the US Forums? Several of the people who post in the US Forums live in CT. You'll find loads of info about the US in the BE Wiki. We also have an excellent US Immigration forum...should you need advice about visas.
