Hello, and welcome to BE. I would say Mexico would be a fairly unusual choice as a place for a Brit to retire to, popular countries if one wants somewhere sunnier are places like Spain or the south of France. But perhaps that may change with Brexit!

That is exactly why I wrote this, with Bexit many are looking at Mexico with the low cost of living, great food and climates and culture.
