Hi, my name is Ansa. My husband and I are thinking of moving to Competa, Spain within the next two years. My husband is from the UK and I am from South Africa.

I have looked at some of the threads and posts and this looks like a wonderfully helpful forum. I have so many questions despite there being so much information on the internet. I hope it is ok to ask some on BE. :-)

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!
Post again in the dedicated Spain forum with more details of your future status (working? retired? children in tow?) and the local folk will advise you on Visas, etc... Is there a particular reason for choosing to live in Competa?

Thank you. Yes, the reason is that we have inherited a house in Competa. I can see from all the threads and advice that it is not an easy process and there are particular options to look at such as the Non-lucrative visa. In the meantime, we need to maintain the property and my immediate questions will be related to that. I assume maintenance related questions can be posted in the "Living in Spain" forum. Thank you for your reply. :-)
