Introducing myself - Currently living in Spain
Totally new to forums like this and feeling my way. I'm a retired teacher and IFA living on the Costa Blanca of Spain for 25 years. Possibly this is the wrong way to introduce myself. I feel as I did when I first learned Spanish! My interest is to find out how other English people are thinking about the world issues that affect us all whether they be financial, political, environmental or controversial for any reason. Just by way of a random issue to start the ball rolling - who thinks the Spanish economy may collapse and contribute to the breakup of the Euro?

Thank you for introducing yourself...we have a large number of expats who post in our Spain Forums...quite a few are in the Costa Blanca area. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are a friendly bunch of folk why don't you pop over there, take a look around and join in?
As you've lived in Spain for so long you may want to contribute to the BE Wiki.
BE is a large expat website...so it's understandable that you may have problems finding your way around our many forums. We have a team of concierges who will direct you around the website. You can find a list of their names at the bottom right hand side of this page.
Problems and complaints should be addressed to a moderator. The mods for the Spain forums are Fred James and Mitzyboy.

It sounds like you will enjoy our Spain forum and I think soem fo the posters on there will enjoy yourr contributions too. There is nothing we like better on BE than a good debate about world events.
You may also enjoy our forum dedicated to controversial topics such as politics, religion etc. The forum is called "TAKE IT OUTSIDE". You will ffind i by pressing the 'main forum' button on the pink bar above. Scroll down past all the country forum and past the working abroad forum and you will see it in the next section.
